Mr. Moody Alavi is the CEO and President of Moody Investment Corporation, Royal Asset MGMT Group, and Black Hawk Energy Ltd., since 2001. Moody Investment was involved in purchasing the Dakota Property worth $185 million USD and opened its first international office in the Bahamas soon after its establishment. In 2003, Moody Investment opened operations in Latvia to purchase a water bottling plant and seafood manufacturing plant, as well as acquiring strategic strips of land along the shores of the Baltic Sea.
In 2005, Moody Investment negotiated a $3 billion USD reconstruction project in Iraq to build housing complexes, water plants, mass transit, roads and highways, sewage plants, and power plants with South Korean and Chinese general contractors. Since May 2008, Moody Investment started operations in Iran by financing and building a 3,300 MT grey cement plant with a Chinese partner, as well as financing projects in refinery, steel, waste recovery, and other infrastructure sectors.
Moody Investment holds stakes in several banks and financial institutions across CIS countries and Russia, and has conducted hundreds of millions of dollars in commodity transactions involving crude oil, iron ore, copper, coal mining, cement, and heavy-duty equipment. The firm has also invested over $2 billion in US real estate across several years, achieving landmark results alongside industry leaders.
Moody Investment maintains offices in Atlanta, Seoul, Australia, Hong Kong, Beijing, Riga, Kazakhstan, and Dubai. Mr. Alavi serves on the Board of One World for Life, an NGO representing North America and the Middle East, and holds the role of VP for North Africa and Middle East Economic Reform. He maintains distinguished relationships with international leaders throughout North Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Far East, and is a graduate of the University of Houston with a background in financial investment and banking.
